Qi Jiang

Qi Jiang

Qi Jiang received the BSc degree in electronics from the University of Sheffield, Yorkshire in 2004, and the MSc degree in a joint venture between University of Sheffield and University of Leeds in 2005. He received his PhD degree in quantum dot lasers and superluminescent diodes from the department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering in Sheffield. He has also worked for the department of Physics at the University of Sheffield. He is currently a Research Associate at University College London where he is working on the integration of Group IV and III–V photonics. Qi was granted a BITE Industry Exchange Award to carry out a secondment at CIP/Huawei, an organisation which is focussed on the research and development of InP optoelectronic chips for use in current and future Huawei Technologies optical communication products. Upon completion of his secondment, Qi returned to UCL to finalise this work and is exploring opportunities for follow-up employment.
