Electronic & Electrical Engineering

The first Electrical Engineering department to be established in England, UCL’s Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering is now one of the leading research-led departments in its field. It has over 150 researchers working in communications and information systems; electronic materials and devices; optical networks; photonics; and sensors, systems and circuits, and consistently receives high ratings in the UK Research Assessment Exercise (RAE). The department is a major contributor to the London Centre for Nanotechnology, and collaborates widely with academic and industrial partners.
