Welcome to BITE

The £300k EPSRC funded Breakthrough Information Technology Exchange (BITE) Impact Acceleration hub, aims to place a greater commercial focus on much of UCL's research in the ICT area. The hub holds showcasing events featuring UCL’s research, as well as networking events for industry delegates. One of the primary activities of the hub is to facilitate and fund placements in industry for early career researchers. This enables them to develop their skills and strengthen links with companies through direct knowledge transfer. In addition, the hub runs a 3-day residential course aimed at encompassing business and entrepreneurship into doctoral training. The hub is led by Professor Izzat Darwazeh of the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering and managed by a small steering group including members from the Department of Computer Science.
